Because of the loss of millions of women from the workforce, analysts spoke of women “in the first 12 months of the pandemic.
. By 2022, that number had fallen to 32%. This year, it is 28%. While other industries are surging ahead in gender equity, with women gaining ground not only since the pandemic but in year-over-year comparisons, tech is literally moving backward. Half of women in tech leadership roles leave them by age 35. Of those who are currently in tech,, compared to 36% of their male counterparts, in a recent survey.
