Where did Outer Range shoot?

In Outer Range, Wyoming rancher Royal Abbott is struggling to keep his family and land afloat when a mysterious void appears in the middle of his pasture shortly after a mysterious drifter named Autumn shows up at the ranch.
Despite taking place in Wyoming, Outer Range was not shot in the state. Originally, plans were made for the series to be shot in Canada but COVID-19 travel restrictions at the time made that impossible . Instead, different states were used to mimic the remote Wyoming wilderness and the fictional Amelia County. And though Outer Range had several different filming locations, they all come together to create the unique, lived-in feel of the show.
Sante Fe, New Mexico Santa Fe, New Mexico, roughly an hour away by car from Albuquerque, was also used for some exterior shots and background scenes of the series. While not a major filming location, using a slightly different setting helps to ensure Outer Range doesn't too closely resemble New Mexico.
Las Vegas, New Mexico The main street of the Amelia County town in Outer Range is filmed in Las Vegas, New Mexico, not to be confused with "Sin City", Las Vegas, Nevada. Bridge Street is the actual main street in Las Vegas, so very little needed to be changed for the show. Some CGI was used but for the most part, shops received a minor amount of set dressing and were ready to be filmed.
Los Angeles, California Like many TV and film productions, Outer Range did some additional filming in Los Angeles, California. These were likely interior shots because the vast Wyoming expanses of Outer Range look nothing like Southern California.
