After an impressive theatrical run, Evil Dead Rise’s digital release date has been revealed, and fans of the franchise don’t have very long to wait.
Evil Dead Rise's digital release date has now been revealed following the film's impressive theatrical performance. Serving as the fifth entry in a franchise first started by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell back in 1981, Evil Dead Rise sees director Lee Cronin put his spin on the horror film series. The film scored mostly positive reviews from audiences and critics alike and earned over $97.5 million at the worldwide box office.
Now, after Evil Dead Rise's box office success, the film is slated to release on digital platforms starting May 9. This digital release will be followed by a 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and on-demand release on June 27. Bloody Disgusting first reported the release, which Warner Bros. later confirmed to Screen Rant.

Without delving into spoilers, Evil Dead Rise also takes after Raimi's original trilogy in the sense that it leaves the door open for more stories to be told. Whether those stories involve totally new characters in a new location once more, however, remains to be seen.
