After a cold and dry start to the month, moist and milder air pushing up from the south brought heavy deluges, experts said.is imminent, as the wet weather is likely to linger for a little longer yet.According to the Met Office, rain will continue across Northern Ireland, Wales and southern England on Friday night.
The rain in the south and west will begin to ease as Saturday goes on. There will be some sunny spells around the UK, but there will also be heavy showers in the most southwestern areas, with the east chilly and drizzly.Patchy rain will continue into Sunday, but sunnier conditions will gradually begin to spread across the UK from the east, and Monday will see mostly dry and sunny spells across Britain.
Even though drier and brighter conditions will gradually break through in the following week, but even this is caveated with the likelihood of more unsettled conditions – the south and west is expected to see the wettest weather.According to provisional Met Office figures, England saw 111.3mm of rain in March, 91 per cent more than average.
