The short answer is, probably not until Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
This week, Tuesday and Wednesday were the coldest days of the week. Thursday has been slightly warmer but only by a few degrees.
“Whenever we have some higher clouds like we did last night and this morning, that can warm up temperatures a little,” said David King, a forecaster with the weather service. King said the region will continue to see overnight temperatures in the 30s and daytime highs in the 50s through the weekend and into Monday —though temperatures aren’t expected to be quite as cold as they were earlier this week.
