It's set to be a busy end to the summer transfer window as Man Utd focus on a number of deals.
There is not much time left now for Erik ten Hag to put the finishing touches on his Manchester United squad before the end of the summer transfer window.
It is all easier said than done, though. United are constrained by Premier League profit and sustainability standards, and any new additions must be offset by sales. Though even when he has a fully fit midfield, they lack enough reliable senior options. Sofyan Amrabat and Ryan Gravenberch aren't exactly standout options, but they are both attainable and would be better-suited than other reserve members of the first-team squad.
A midfielder is essential to offer additional security. United got the wrong midfielder in in Mason Mount, particularly in a summer where young and athletic midfielders have traded clubs. So they would not be getting a top-drawer midfielder but they need one of a defensive persuasion to ease the burden on Casemiro.
It is easy to forget Eric Bailly and Donny van de Beek. United need to get both of them off the books.There is clearly still work to do for United in the final week of the transfer window, but maybe not as much as Ten Hag would like done.
