In a video published to Bieber's social media accounts, the 'Peaches' singer announced that he has facial paralysis due to a disorder called Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
"For those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, um, I'm just physically obviously not capable of doing them," he said."This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn't the case but obviously, my body is telling me I gotta slow down and I hope you guys understand and I will be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so that I can do what I was born to do.

This disorder is caused by the varicella zoster virus, which causes chickenpox in children and shingles in adults. The virus can spread and affect the facial nerve, according to rarediseases.org.
Common symptoms that one can expect when having Ramsay Hunt syndrome include a red rash with blisters on, in and around one ear, facial paralysis on the side of the rash, hearing loss, ear ringing, vertigo, dry mouth or eyes and finding it difficult closing eyes, according to Mayo Clinic.
