West Ranch quarterback Ryan Staub will sign his letter of intent to play for Colorado and new coach Deion Sanders on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

But when Colorado announced Deion Sanders would be its new head coach a few weeks ago, Staub’s initial thoughts were laced with concern.One of Sanders’ first actions was telling the players at Colorado to pretty much jump into the transfer portal. Multiple recruits already committed to Colorado were told their spot would no longer be there for them in Boulder. Simi Valley defensive end Carson Mott was one of those recruits.
“I met with coach Sanders in person when I took my official visit this past weekend . We spoke, had good conversation. We talked about the future of the program and what it looked like for me. He told me to stay committed and he’s looking forward to seeing me in January.”
