Stuart Webber is heading for the exit door at Norwich City just as Leeds United advertise a vacancy for head of recruitment at Elland Road
Leeds United fan and Championship-winning sporting director Stuart Webber seems unlikely to reunite with Daniel Farke as his head of recruitment. The Norwich City chief is closing in on the end of his tenure at Carrow Road while the Whites are advertising a vacancy to head up transfer business in West Yorkshire.
Waiting until then is highly likely to rule him out of an application for the job at Elland Road, which would work closely with Gretar Steinsson and Farke. Nick Hammond had been working as interim football advisor at Leeds on a short-term contract and the Whites would be keen to tie him down to a more permanent arrangement.
“When I come back , I will be ready to plan the next stage of my working career,” said Webber, who will attempt to climb the mountain in May. “I will be 40 and I’m seeing it as the second half of my work career. “I want to do that with a clear mind where I’m not worried about checking my emails, checking my calls. All I need to keep in contact with is a small group of people I love and the rest of it can wait.
