When thinking of a drive-thru our mind drifts off to the big fast food brands that have made the concept famous, but have you ever been to one that offers just sweet treats.
And since our reporter Keiran Fleming does enjoy a sugary snack he thought he'd give this place a go.The drive-thru was pretty easy to spot with its massive pink signage. There are two ways to order when it comes to Wow Desserts, there is a self-checkout option or the old-fashioned way.The menu is biblical in size, with cookie dough, doughnuts, ice cream, bubble slushies, milkshakes and more up for grabs.
Once I ordered I parked up and waited, fully expecting a group of Oompa Lumpas to deliver my treats and break into song like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was handed my bags of goodies and made my way home. The email update arrives at around 7pm every Thursday evening and is manually curated by our team, bringing you everything you need to know about the city's food and drink scene as lockdown starts to ease.Upon opening the boxes I was met with an array of colour and sugary smells.
