Valerien Ismael hopes grinding out victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend can help his side improve their away form.
That was the message Valerien Ismael gave to his Watford squad in the days between Saturday’s win over Sheffield Wednesday and tomorrow’s trip to Swansea.
However, while wanting to back up the victory over the Owls, the head coach also stressed the need to enjoy the win. “We saw at Cardiff that we changed the way we approached the game, and the team reacted much better,” he explained. Midfielder Jake Livermore said the win over Wednesday was a great way to kick off a typically busy week in the Championship, but also stressed it was only one victory – and just the club’s third this season.
