HOLLYWOOD — A break in an 8-inch water main in the Hollywood Hills early Monday morning led to some flooding and a sinkhole on a street.
The problem involving the cast-iron main was reported about 1 a.m. in the 6500 block of Cahuenga Terrace and affected 16 customers, said Carol Tucker of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.LADWP crews were sent to repair the main, which was installed in 1931. The work was continuing early Monday afternoon.
