Water authorities in central Mexico have decided to stop taking water from a rapidly emptying reservoir in Valle de Bravo, which is home to an upscale lakeside community. The severe drought has caused the reservoir to be three-quarters empty, impacting tourism and real estate prices. Mexico City will now be supplied from the El Bosque reservoir, which is less populated and farther from the capital.
