Watching this Honda-swapped Ferrari on track will make purists furious.
We've been following the saga of the Ferrari 244 GTK–Stanceworks' Ferrari 308 with a Honda K-swap–for a long, long time now. And while very part of the build has been interesting and rad, and the project itself is a giant middle finger at Ferrari purists, we've really wanted to see the car on the move and running on track. The 244 GTK finally got to the track, with a day of lapping at Buttonwillow Raceway in California.
Just hearing that thing at full throttle is worth the time to watch this video, but also seeing a car like this move is just wonderful. The day ended a bit prematurely when a fitting failed, but hopefully the GTK will be back running on track soon, making Ferrari purists ever angrier. As intended.Travis is an editor at Road & Track.
