Earning the Top Safety Pick+ award is no small feat. In order to be considered, a vehicle must earn a rating of"Good" in all six of the IIHS's crashworthiness tests, which include small overlap driver-side, small overlap passenger-side, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints and seats.
The R1T was able to do all of those things, plus earn a"Good" rating for its headlights and and its LATCH child restraints ease of use.statement ."All trims come with good-rated LED projector headlights and a standard front crash prevention system that earns superior ratings in both the vehicle-to-vehicle and daytime vehicle-to-pedestrian tests."
