WATCHLIVE: Attorney General Merrick Garland is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee, where he will likely face questions about investigations into classified documents, Hunter Biden, and China, among other topics.
The investigations Garland will likely be grilled on during the hearing have come under scrutiny from both chambers of Congress in recent days.
Garland has been called by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan to provide documents relating to investigations into Biden and answers as to why a special counsel has not been appointed for the case. The demand came the same day Senate Intelligence Committee members Sens. Mark Warner and Marco Rubio said a briefing the Justice Department gave to the Gang of Eight on classified document investigations"left much to be desired.
