The UK Foreign Office has issued guidance to tourists over Spain's entry requirements
Brits travelling to Spain this summer will need more than just their passport as the country requires tourists to bring ‘additional documents’. The UK Foreign Office has advised British holidaymakers to follow the country’s entry requirements.
As well as passports, UK holidaymakers are being advised to carry two additional documents with them on the plane, ready to present at border control on the other side. This includes a valid return or onward ticket, such as a return plane ticket.Proof of accommodation for their stay is another thing travellers could be asked for, such as a hotel booking receipt or proof address if visiting a second home or an invitation from friends or family.
This can be proven by showing cash, checks or credit cards, however it's worth noting that only a small number of people visiting Spain in recent years have reported being asked to provide evidence of their finances. The UK Foreign Office states: "If you enter the Schengen area as a tourist, you may need to provide additional documents at the border.
