Volvo Cars report 48,520 global car sales in January, which is 2 percent more than a year ago, but still some 19 percent less than in 2021.
The good news is that plug-in electric car sales continue to increase at a healthy rate. Last month, Volvo sold 19,742 rechargeable cars , which represents 40.7 percent of the total. That's the third consecutive result above 40 percent. More importantly, all-electric car sales increased by almost 152 percent year-over-year to 7,874. Meanwhile, plug-in electric car sales in China increased by 10 percent to 1,258.
