Ten people were injured after a flight bound for Portugal was struck by severe turbulence, sending people and loose items flailing about inside the cabin.
Assis, who was holding a glass of wine at the time, was filming the shakey ride and giggling, but the fun was quickly interrupted when a powerful jolt sent the drink flying out of her hand as people yelled in terror.
Ten people were reportedly injured on the flight, which was operated by TAAG Angola Airlines, and eight of the injured required medical assistance. She said the “terrifying” turbulence struck about two hours after takeoff just as lunch was being served.Wine splashed on the ceiling of the plane.“It only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to leave some people injured and the crew provided first aid before landing,” she added.
