The mother and two other children remain in critical condition in a hospital in Marion County, according to the State Highway Patrol.
CLARIDON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A woman driving a van with her four children inside crashed into a pond Monday night, killing two of the kids and leaving her and the other two kids in critical condition, the State Highway Patrol says.
The van hit a small tree and embankment, causing it to go airborne. It landed on the bank of a pond, but then rolled into the water, trapping Bautista and her four children, ages 9, 7, 4 and 2, the patrol says. Everyone in the van was wearing a seatbelt, with two of the children in booster seats.
