Toreros hold spring scrimmage and quarterbacks look fine

With Mason Randall exhausting his eligibility, the Toreros will be looking for a new starting quarterback. Lindsey said he would need to look at the tape of the scrimmage before stating who’s the starter going into summer camp that begins in August. Erickson started one game last season and played in four. He completed 23 of 43 passes for 343 yards with three TDs and three interceptions.Jellison, who played at Lake Stevens High in Washington, will be a sophomore. He completed 4 of 5 passes for 81 yards and 2 TDs. Re-al Mitchell, a graduate transfer from Temple who started his career at Iowa State, did not play. He has been bothered by a shoulder injury.The backs have big shoes to fill, replacing graduates Emilio Martinez and Terrence Smith.
