UPDATE: Anchorage police released a sketch of what the kidnapping suspect may look like.
On 07/21/22 at around 5:52 p.m. APD Swing Shift Officers responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping. The initial investigation determined that an unknown white male approached aThe adult male approached the juvenile from behind, grabbed the juvenile and stated that he was friend of her parents and to come with him. The juvenile was able to fight the suspect off and was able to flee the area. The suspect fled on foot. There were no injuries.
The suspect has been described as an older white male with grey hair and a small beard. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue sweatpants, and a baseball cap. He also has a tattoo on his right arm of a skull.and are asking the community to be vigilant and contact APD Dispatch at 3-1-1 if they see a person matching the suspect description.
