Two secondary schools in Anglesey will be temporarily closed, the council has confirmed. The Welsh government's education minister said the safety of staff and pupils was his 'main concern'.
Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies, accused the government of passing the buck."Unlike in England, where decisive action was taken by the Conservative government, Labour have sat on their hands in Wales and put pupils' safety at risk," he said.
The Welsh government's education minister, Jeremy Miles, said his main concern was staff and pupil safety."Anglesey council and the schools are doing everything they can to minimise the impact on pupils." The minister said the government was working with local authorities across Wales and a review of the latest information held by councils had begun.
