The Wiregrass Humane Society has had a recent epidemic of people returning pets because they do not know what goes into caring for one.
Tank is just like any other dog and according to the humane society. He likes to lay around, get head scratches and he’s always excited to see cats.
“Some people, when animals get older and it’s harder to take care of them, just give up on them and give them away,” Jacquelyn Dykes, the Wiregrass Humane Society President, said. “You just need to remember all the joy they gave you all those years ago when they were young and little.”“You can see that he’s not happy,” Dykes said. “He’s sad and he wants to be back in a home.”
