Rockfall warning issued as UK faces heatwave
The hot weather makes cliffs potentially more unstable and rockfalls more likely to happen, the council said
Dorset Council said with the extreme heat the cliffs were "potentially more unstable" and falls were "more likely". Seatown, Eype, Burton Bradstock, West Cliff, East Cliff, Mupe Bay, Lulworth and Swanage are all areas with an increased risk for falls, it said.The authority has warned people visiting the beaches to stay away from cliff tops and bases as "rock falls can happen at any time without warning"
