A woman and a man were shot within seven hours Sunday in Oakland.

OAKLAND — A man and a woman were wounded in two shootings that happened within seven hours Sunday in different areas of the city, authorities said.

About 10:23 p.m. Sunday a 36-year-old man was shot in the leg near the intersection of 45th and Market streets in North Oakland. He was able to make it to a nearby alleyway where police found him. He was given first aid at the scene before being taken to a hospital. About 3:42 p.m. a 25-year-old woman was shot in the hip in the 200 block of East 18th Street near Lake Merritt, authorities said.
