A suspect was being sought in shooting of a woman and man Monday evening in East Oakland.
OAKLAND — A woman and a man were shot Monday evening in East Oakland, authorities said.
The shooting, which prompted a ShotSpotter alert, happened about 5:52 p.m. Monday in the 8900 block of MacArthur Boulevard. The 36-year-old man, of Oakland — who was down the street from the group — was hit in the arm by a stray bullet, police said. He got his own transportation to a hospital.The shooter fled in a vehicle before police responded to the scene. More than a half-dozen shell casings were recovered in the area, authorities said.
