Alison Thewliss is an ally of Humza Yousaf, while David Linden is close to Stephen Flynn
Humza Yousaf ally Alison Thewliss is aiming to be selected as the candidate for Glasgow East at the general election.
Home affairs spokesperson Thewliss needs to find a new seat because her Glasgow Central constituency has been split up after a boundary review. But The Times reported that Thewliss is putting herself forward for both seats. She is said to be concentrating on the east of the city."The expectation among everyone, from the First Minister down, was that with Patrick Grady not standing there was a good chance Alison would be standing in the north. Most members just find it a bit odd because David Linden is already in Glasgow East."
