Three teens were previously arrested and police do not anticipate any more arrests.
On Sunday at about 6:30 a.m., Favel waved down an officer and reported being shot in the 200 block of Avenue O South. Police said the incident happened in an east-west alley behind a pharmacy in the 1500 block of 20th Street West. Favel was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and subsequently died.
At 8:30 a.m., three boys, ages 13, 14 and 16, were taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder. In a release, police say two more boys, ages 13 and 15, were arrested without incident Tuesday and they do not anticipate any further arrests. The 15-year-old is also charged with breaching the conditions of a release order.
The two boys will appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Wednesday morning. All of their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
