Two people are dead and one is seriously injured after a two\u002Dvehicle collision on the Trans\u002DCanada Highway near Balgonie Monday night.
The driver of a car, an 18-year-old man from White City, and his passenger, a 64-year-old woman from Nanaimo, B.C. were pronounced dead at the scene after their car and a van collided in the eastbound lanes, RCMP said in a news release issued Tuesday.
The driver of the van was taken to hospital with serious injuries, the release said, and White Butte RCMP continue to investigation with the help of a collision reconstructionist. RCMP responded at approximately 11:10 p.m. Monday for reports of collision involving three vehicles on the Trans-Canada about three kilometres east of Balgonie, towards St. Joseph’s.
