Updates from day 23 of the protests in Ottawa
An Ottawa judge says she will decide on Tuesday whether to grant bail to Ottawa protester Tamara Lich.
Further south on O’Connor Street, Tom Hutar hurled abuse at a CBC reporter who was live on camera. “I’m just calling them propaganda,” he said in an interview. “I’m just calling it out like I see it.” Wayne Lich testified to that and other details at a bail hearing Saturday for his wife Tamara, who faces charges of counselling to commit mischief.
Lich’s lawyer said many people decided independently to join the protest in Ottawa, which is not organized by any one group, and Lich cannot be held accountable for all their actions.
