Officers at 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 1 responded to a crash on Crocker Road in which a large box truck slammed into the rear of a Ford Focus. The smaller vehicle appeared to have been pushed about 100 feet, according to a police report.

During roadside field sobriety tests, the 34-year-old Columbus truck driver was unable to maintain his balance or step heel to toe. “I can’t do this,” a police report quoted the man as saying. Officers arrested her for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and held her at the jail until a sober friend arrived to pick her up.A staff member at a Detroit Road elementary school called the police department at 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 30 to report that an unknown man had entered their property and began yelling at children on the playground.
He could not provide any rational explanation for why he was yelling at the kids. The 54-year-old Cleveland man also had someone else’s credit card that had been stolen from a Chinese restaurant in Mayfield Heights, according to a police statement.
