A celebration of Mark's life will commence later this week
Tributes have been made for a 'loved and well respected' mountain rescue team member who died after a cancer diagnosis.
The adventurous man who often wrote his thoughts down in his personal blog page oozed positivity and hope, his teammates have said. In tribute to the respected man and husband, the mountain rescue team are set to say their farewell's to Mr Slocombe this week.Announcing the devastating news on Facebook, the team paid their respects and wrote: "It’s with a very sad heart we announce the passing of a loved and well respected teammate Mark Slocombe.
"Never to let life beat him, he put his thoughts down in a blog which even when things became tough he oozed positivity and hope. The teams thoughts and support are whole heartedly with his wife Nic at such a difficult time and we now look towards celebrating Mark on Thursday where we’ll be turning out as a team to say our goodbyes for the last time.
