M. Night Shyamalan is moving to a new home, as the director has signed a new multi-year, first-look deal with Warner Bros.
reports that under the new agreement, Shyamalan and his production company, Blinding Edge Pictures, will develop original projects, which he will either direct or produce., which is set to release on August 2, 2024. Not too much else is known about the film, however, and since Shyamalan is notorious for keeping things under wraps, it’s likely we won’t know much until he reveals further information.
In a statement on the move to Warner Bros., Shyamalan thanked Universal and Disney for being home to him in the past and looked to what the future holds at Warner Bros. “Where I write and direct is my home,” Shyamalan said. “Disney and Universal, where I’ve made most of my films, will always be home and family to me. Warner Bros. has a storied history of cinema. Through its recent experiences, the company has rediscovered its love and appreciation for filmmakers, and the impact of the theatrical experience. We all win when movies succeed in theaters.
