A Texas judge has granted transgender families some respite from official investigations into gender-affirming care.

Medical experts say gender-affirming care is necessary medical treatment that is safe and reduces the risk of suicide in transgender youth This mother and daughter don’t like hiding who they are. Mom, who we’ll call Jane, is a vocal ally for trans rights. Her daughter, who we’ve given the name Jill, is out and proud. But now, the only way they can fight for their family is to remain anonymous.
She said taking away those gender-affirming treatments for children would actually constitute child abuse and if she hadn't had access to them things would be very different A Trevor Project survey found 52% of transgender and nonbinary teens have considered suicide. Recent medical research shows hormone therapy lowers the risk of suicide in trans youth.Jane says the people calling this care child abuse don’t even know what it is.
