The teen had a row with his partner before jumping onto the tracks
A TRAIN driver thought he hit a teenager who jumped on the tracks after a row with his partner.
Fiscal depute Mark Nicol told a hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court that the driver was on the 11.04pm route from Helensburgh Central to Bathgate when he approached Kilpatrick station at 60mph. As the driver braked and sounded the horn, the 19-year-old jumped back onto the platform. When the train was braking to a halt, it narrowly missed his legs.
Barclay had pleaded guilty to placing himself in front of a moving train, causing the driver to take evasive action to attempt to avoid a collision.
