Tributes have been paid to Brian Lohan, who was said to have 'loved Mansfield'
A Labour councillor who died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve was well-respected 'across the whole floor' no matter the political persuasion. Brian Lohan, who represented the Portland ward on Mansfield District Council, died on December 24 at the age of 61.

Cllr Shields said he had known Mr Lohan since at least the early 2000s, when he was made very aware of his hidden 'competitive side' during pool games at The Talbot Inn pub.
“As a friend I will miss him.” Mr Lohan was also a trustee of the Brunts Charity, an organisation which promotes independent living for residents in the district.
