Meteorologist Michael Colbert said that early risers Friday should see some clouds and drizzle, but rain won’t start until between 8 and 10 a.m. west of Harrisburg. There could be a few rounds of rain from scattered storm cells, with those cells growing in the evening hours and leading to heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Colbert explained that they are considering some of the storm cells “training cells” because they are multiple cells following each other, like train cars.The storms will taper off through Friday evening, with a majority done around midnight, according to Colbert.
