Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell revealed that the thing that convinced him to join the film was seeing director Christopher McQuarrie and star Tom Cruise's collaboration Mission: Impossible - Fallout. The film, which came out in theaters on May 27 after significant pandemic-related delays, is a decades-later sequel to the 1985 hit Top Gun, which was directed by Tony Scott.
