Elizabeth Owens had just picked up her three-year-old daughter, Emma, from nursery and was walking home when the incident happened.
A toddler was left "hysterical" after being attacked by a dog in the middle of the street in broad daylight. Emma Owens, 3, was left with a bite mark on her side after she was set upon by the Staffie-type dog in Dennistoun, Glasgow.
The mum claims she then noticed the dog try to go for another girl before the owner got it under control Elizabeth said: "I told [Emma] not to go near the dog. The woman dropped the lead, as she was picking up dog dirt, and turned her back. "As I grabbed her it attempted to go for her a second time. She has got two bruises where the dog caught her but luckily it didn't break her skin."
