A two-year-old boy has died after he reportedly fell ill in the bath at a home in West Yorkshire.
Emergency services attended the scene on Bassenthwaite Walk in Knottingley at around 6.45pm yesterday.
Forensic officers were later seen outside the house, where flowers and balloons had been tied to a fence. In a statement, a spokesman for the force said: ‘Police were called at 6.45pm last night to a report of a concern for safety for a two-year-old child.‘Enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances.’They added: ‘The incident is being treated as a sudden death in childhood and we ask that people consider the family and respect their privacy at what is clearly a very difficult time for them.
