Darwin Nunez scored in Liverpool's 3-1 victory against West Ham United on Sunday and has been given some big praise
Tim Sherwood has heaped praise on Darwin Nunez's display during Liverpool's victory over West Ham United - insisting the Uruguayan is a "huge asset" to the Reds.
The Uruguayan, who inherited the iconic No.9 shirt from Roberto Firmino during the summer, scored his fourth goal of the campaign when he superbly dispatched Alexis Mac Allister's clipped ball midway through the second half to restore the Reds' lead after Jarrod Bowen had cancelled out Mohamed Salah's early penalty.
And speaking after Sunday's win, Sherwood was quick to laud Nunez's growing importance at Anfield, while backing Liverpool to mount a challenge for the Premier League title this season. “He is a nuisance. I wouldn’t want to play against him. He is a pest. He runs you in-behind. He can take the ball. He is a good size and backs in. He isn’t technically very clean, but sometimes, that’s his biggest asset – I think he is a real threat. I think he is a huge asset to Liverpool now.”
