Around 4.5 percent of people in Britain are affected by colour vision deficiency (CVD)
A woman has shared a TikTok video that shows what it's like to be colour blind. The footage has left many people wondering if they could have the condition themselves as watching it is 'like normal.'
It simply means that you see colours differently to the majority of people and can sometimes struggle to tell multiple colours apart. The NHS adds most people struggle to tell apart shades of yellow, green and red - known as 'red-green colour vision'. TikToker, Tessromie, uploaded the video which has now been watched 3.4 million times, using a filter to show how people with CVD see the world. "Discovering how my colour blind husband sees the world. I’m in shock and I’ll never recover," she said.
Austin replied: "I'm colorblind and I literally watched the video over and over trying to figure out what they were talking about". Dane explained: "I’m colorblind too and a field of green grass looks the same color to me as a pumpkin does."
