Temporary classrooms have had to be erected at some of the affected locations, while pupils from other schools are being taught at their old primaries.
Thousands of Scots pupils have been forced out of their classrooms after dangerous concrete was found in their schools.
And a school with around 1,000 pupils has shut its Physical Education building as a precaution, with all pupils taking P.E. classes being given their lessons elsewhere. An Edinburgh City Council spokesperson told the Record: "No schools have had to close which is great news. We’ve got two high quality temporary classroom blocks for a couple of classes in both schools whilst ongoing investigation/remedial work continues."
It was discovered after surveys at Balbardie and Windyknowe primary schools in Bathgate; Riverside and Knightsridge primaries in Livingston; St. Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn; Fauldhouse Partnership Centre; Lanthorn Community Centre in Livingston, and Whitburn Community Centre.
