There were numerous places from which to watch Saturday’s annular eclipse, but California resident Shayna Szado specifically drove to southern Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park for the event.

Officials were expecting thousands to watch from the park’s boundaries. A previous annular eclipse in 2012 gave them clues of what to expect, but with some key differences. Two other Utah national parks, Capitol Reef and Canyonlands, were also under the center path of Saturday’s eclipse.
