A city in Pennsylvania landed among the top 10. best cities for bagel lovers in the U.S.
conducted and published a study which first took the 200 biggest U.S. cities and weighed them across three main categories that were drawn from publicly available data: access to bagels; bagel quality; and popularity. Average scores for each city were then calculated based off of sub-metrics such as “Bagel Vendors per Square Mile;” “Average Number of Reviews per Bagel Vendor;” and “Hosts Bagels & Bites Festival .
“I think bagel popularity is based on several factors: convenience, versatility, and quality,” explains he. “Whether served over the counter or from the grocery store, Americans love food that’s ready to go in the morning and again at lunch.
