It comes after reports of a ‘mini riot’ during a performance of The Bodyguard at Manchester's Palace Theatre
This Morning has been hit with a string of Ofcom complaints after a chat about singing at the theatre led to an outcry. During an episode of the ITV daytime show last week, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary discussed the 'no singing' rules in place during showings of The Bodyguard.
Alison said: "I mean, I can't believe it. I'd be devastated, I'm not even going to go to that show now.
New Bake Off host Alison previously apologised at the weekend for ‘making light’ of audiences singing along to musicals. Alison said she is "truly sorry" and vowed to "do better in the future". Instagram The 48-year-old concluded: "I want to use my platform for good as always and want to stand up with the performers, front of house and theatre staff especially after seeing what happened at The Bodyguard in Manchester, which has made me sick to my stomach. Once again I am truly sorry but trust me I will do better in the future."
