The time came for Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to make their very first appearance on This Morning and fans took to social media to reveal what they thought of the new co-hosts
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard made their This Morning debut on Monday, 11 March, as the new hosts of the popular ITV morning show. The news of their much-anticipated appointment came in February after months of speculation over who would be taking over from Phillip Schofield, who left the show in May last year, and Holly Willoughby, who resigned in October after 14 years.
“Welcome Ben and Cat to This Morning family I’m thrilled that your finally hosting #ThisMorning," added a third, while a fourth commented on their great chemistry, writing: “You really gel together. TV history in the making #thismorning”. He continued to say: “For the last ten years I’ve been waking up with our ITV daytime audience on GMB and I now look forward to spending time with Cat, welcoming the viewers home after the school run or from their early morning routines, with a cup of tea and a mix of everything that makes This Morning so loved.”
