“The biggest inspiration was classic oversized denim silhouettes, like denim suits from the ‘90s into the early 2000s,” says Pia Davis of No Sesso on their collaboration with Levi's.
“I have been wearing the parallel zip-down denim pants and the detachable corseted jacket,” Randolph says.
No Sesso also drew inspiration from the previous landmark designers who put their touch on Levi’s, like Jean Paul Gaultier and Comme des Garçons, to name a few. “It’s kind of major in that way,” Davis adds. “It’s only right for us to join as well.” Denim has also been pivotal to No Sesso since the label’s inception, as Randolph and Davis have a history of upcycling old jeans they’d find into intricate, twisted pieces in previous collections.
“Seeing this collaboration come together was such a culmination of the past couple of years for us and fuels us for the future,” Randolph adds. “Each piece really speaks for itself.”
