'To put it simply, this is badness - what would be served by further investigation into her very tragic death?'

'Learning points' have been identified after the brutal murder of a young woman with a coroner to now decide if an inquest into her death should be held.

After bar staff refused to serve him any more drinks, he escorted her back to his flat on Manchester Road in a taxi - sexually assaulting her during the journey. Neighbours then heard shouts and screams for around 25 minutes. 'It could have happened at any stage, any place' The National Probation Service, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside Council were all represented at the hearing and all argued an inquest wasn't necessary.

The hearing was told Pennine Care, which funds the college where they met, had also carried out an internal probe but that its report had not yet been finalised. "But to put it simply, this is badness. What he has said is that he's committed this crime and has given no mitigating circumstances." She added: "What would be served by further investigation into the very tragic death of this lady?"

There was also no need for a Domestic Homicide Review as there was 'no evidence of there being a relationship between the two individuals.'
